Biography Rosie
Rosie is a rock band hailing from The Hague in the Netherlands. With over 40 years of history, they are one of the city's longest-running bands. Though the band was founded in 1983 by vocalist Arjen Thielsch, who passed away in 2009, his legacy and vision have continued to attract new members to the group. The current lineup includes Arjen on guitar and Lennard on guitar, two long-standing members who played with Thielsch, along with Joop on drums, Pjotr on bass, and John on vocals, who joined the band in 2022 after a two-year hiatus due to COVID-19.
Rosie's music embodies the simplicity and power of rock greats like AC/DC in their 'less is more' style. With seven EPs to their name, including their most recent release "One for the road" in 2019, the band has a wealth of material to draw from as they rehearse their best songs and work on new material. They have performed at numerous festivals, including Parkpop, Lentepop, Dijkrock, Zeeheldenfestival, Vlietpop, Plein Open, Kaderock, Haagse KoninginneNach, Leidens ontzet, Roadgrill and Westerpop.
Fans of hard-hitting rock can catch Rosie live in 2024 as they hit the road and perform at venues around the Netherlands and Belgium.
Don't miss your chance to see this seasoned band in action and experience the powerful sound they've honed over four decades.
